Mustafa Abdullah was appointed as Chief Operating Officer at UDA Land (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd. in December 2021. He joined UDA in 1990 and brings over 35 years of expertise in project planning, operations and strategic management, consistently delivering on objectives, cost efficiency and ROI.
Mustafa’s extensive experience in property development and infrastructure has led to him leading major UDA projects in East Malaysia, including the Neu Pendington mixed development project in Kuching, Sarawak slated for completion by 2029, and a planned joint venture development in Bintulu, Sarawak with HIKMAH, set to launch in 2025.
He began his career as a Site Supervisor in Johor Bahru from 1985 to 1990, where he managed residential and infrastructure projects. Then, his journey with UDA began when he joined UDA Land (South) Sdn. Bhd. as Senior Clerk of Works from 1990 to 1999, where he supervised residential and infrastructure developments including Bandar Baru UDA and Plaza Angsana (now known as Angsana Johor Bahru Mall).
His longest tenure yet was held at UDA Angsana Sdn Bhd in Johor from 1999 to 2009 as the Head of Operations and Engineering, where he managed Plaza Angsana’s maintenance and operations. He advanced to Project Manager within UDA’s Urban Division from 2009 to 2013 and led projects such as Wisma Pantai in Kuala Lumpur and the AnCasa Royale Pekan, Pahang.
Mustafa’s major career highlights took place between 2013 to 2021, where Mustafa rose through the ranks and held senior project leadership roles at UDA Land Sdn. Bhd. in the Central Region, overseeing apartments, bungalows and mixed developments in Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Selangor and ensuring project alignment with strategic goals. He also was in charge of the development and construction of AnCasa Royale Pekan, Pahang which was completed in April 2014 and started operating in May 2014.
Mustafa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 1999.
