Dato’ Sri Ab Rahim Ab Rahman was appointed as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of UDA Holdings Berhad on 18 June 2026.
He is a distinguished senior Malaysian civil servant with more than three decades of leadership experience across the Federal Government, specialising in public finance, government procurement, public administration, institutional governance, organisational transformation and economic development. Throughout his career, he has held numerous senior leadership and board appointments within ministries, statutory bodies and government-linked organisations, where he has played a pivotal role in shaping national policies and strengthening public sector governance.
Dato’ Sri Ab Rahim currently serves as the Deputy Secretary General of the Treasury (Management) at the Ministry of Finance Malaysia. In this capacity, he provides strategic leadership for the Ministry’s corporate services, including human capital management, finance, procurement, asset and facilities management, information and communications technology, organisational development and corporate strategy. He also supports the formulation and implementation of national policies relating to government procurement, public sector remuneration and institutional governance.
Prior to his current appointment, he served as Director of the National Budget Office and Secretary of the Government Procurement Division at the Ministry of Finance, where he led key national initiatives in fiscal planning, budget formulation, public expenditure management and procurement policy reforms. Earlier in his public service career, he held various leadership positions in state governments, statutory bodies and public sector agencies, gaining extensive experience across policy development, administration and public sector management.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Malaya, a Master of Science in Information & Management (MSc. IM) from Universiti Teknologi MARA and a Diploma in Public Administration from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), Malaysia.
