Ir. Shahrul Arizan Mohamad Adnan was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer for UDA Land (North) Sdn. Bhd. on 2 September 2024. As a distinguished civil engineer since 2010 with more than 23 years of comprehensive experience in the construction and development sectors, Ir. Shahrul’s technical acumen and strategic leadership has enabled him to oversee and deliver numerous high-value projects across Malaysia.
Ir. Shahrul played a pivotal role in a diverse array of projects, ranging from data centers and manufacturing plants to large-scale infrastructure like expressways and bridges. His experience extends to mixed development township, hospitals, and educational institutions. His leadership has successfully steered projects with value ranging from RM6 million to RM1.5 billion.
In his previous role as the CEO of Shoraka Construction Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Ireka Corporation Berhad since 2021, Ir. Shahrul led the company to thrive in open tender biddings with state and federal government and secured projects involving highway concessions and institutional buildings financed through private initiatives, i.e bond/sukuk.
Prior to his tenure at Shoraka Construction, Ir. Shahrul held key positions at the Penang Development Corporation (PDC) for 15 years, from 2006 to 2021. As a Principal Submitting Person and Senior Project Manager & Head of Facilities Management, he played a crucial role in project planning, submission and execution, delivering multiple projects on time and within budget.
Ir. Shahrul's contributions extend beyond corporate achievements to academia, where he serves as an Industry Professionals Evaluator (CEC594/EC221) - Final Year Student (Industry Collaboration Program) UiTM Penang Branch. He also sits on the Industry Advisory Panel for the Master's Program in Construction Science with Business Management under the Administration of the Faculty of Civil Engineering UiTM Penang Branch.
A Professional Engineer since 2010, he holds multiple prestigious certifications, including membership in the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, SPAN Qualified Person (QPAW1588), Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt and CIDB Green Card.
Ir. Shahrul was awarded the Pingat Jasa Masyarakat (PJM) by The Honorable Governor of Penang in 2017.
