Mohd Azmi Abd Aziz is a Chief Operating Officer of UDA Land (East) Sdn. Bhd. and joined the company on 15 July 2024. A seasoned professional in property development and project management, Mohd Azmi brings more than 34 years of technical knowledge, strategic insight and operational leadership, making him a key asset in driving UDA Land East’s growth and success in the competitive property development landscape.
Prior to joining UDA, Mohd Azmi was the Senior Manager at Ireka Corporation Berhad, where he was responsible for managing a significant joint venture involving a 300 acres mixed development in Kerteh, Terengganu. His work underscored his expertise in collaborative project execution and stakeholder management.
As the Managing Director of Evocon Realty Sdn. Bhd. and Evocon Properties Sdn. Bhd. from 2011 to 2018, Mohd Azmi was entrusted to co-lead property ventures focused on land development and housing, leveraging his deep knowledge of market dynamics and strategic planning. His responsibilities ranged from business development to managing consultant partnerships, demonstrating his ability to drive growth and innovation within the real estate sector.
Prior to that, Mohd Azmi served as Senior Manager at Sentoria Sdn. Bhd. from 2006 to 2010, where he oversaw end-to-end project planning, controlled and monitored projects from inception to completion, including overseeing design coordination for tenders, land matters and regulatory approvals. He built his rapport during close collaborations with authorities, management teams, contractors, consultants and suppliers to ensure project efficiency and effectiveness. Managed property development, sales and marketing while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders such as purchasers, bankers and local authorities.
During his previous attachment as the Regional Manager at Damansara Realty Berhad from 1998 to 2005, Mohd Azmi managed the 2000.50 acres Bandar Damansara project worth RM100 million in Kuantan from land matters to construction completion, including design coordination, tendering and contract management. He was also responsible in ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets and quality standards through collaboration with authorities, consultants and contractors. He oversaw operations, sales, marketing and treasury functions while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
His career foundation includes roles at Franky Construction Sdn. Bhd. and Selaman Sdn. Bhd., where he built his expertise in property management and development.
Mohd Azmi obtained his Bachelor in Building (Honours) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor and his Diploma in Building from Universiti Teknologi Mara, Shah Alam. A member of the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) and with over 30 years of experience in the property industry, he has successfully managed complex projects across regions, earning a reputation for operational excellence and strong leadership.
